Support Groups

Why Do We Run Support Groups?

Our carers tell us that having other carers to talk to in a similar situation is one of the best kinds of support they can receive.   They provide information and best practice on relevant carer issues, and they also provide some much needed social interaction and relaxation for  carers.

The following is a list of all the carer support groups the Carers Centre provides (or is involved in) along with where and when they meet.  All these groups are run on a 'self referral' basis.  That means that you can come and join them without any sort of formal assessment.
